You said that we could meet
And talk and have coffee
And munch on a donut (or two).

I picked the time and place
And gave you directions,
But you’re late
And I wonder why.

Now I’m just sitting here
Fretting and fuming…
It seems like a lifetime to me,

But someday you’ll find it,
The Donut Connection,
The coffee, the creamer, and me.

Donuts with chocolate cream?
